Born and raised in Long Island NY, Rob Samartino moved from Bushwick, Brooklyn to Alpine Wyoming in the fall of 2020. Over the past few years, his work has drifted away from urban subject matter to the prodigious natural wonders of the Rocky Mountains. 

“I am drawn to how nature ultimately unites everything in its being, when you’re out in the wilderness there is no dividing line between a tree and a forest or the soil and rock it grows from, everything is blended together in cycles of blooming and withering.”
